The City
of Chardon bills water and sewer customers on a monthly basis.
Meters are read in the middle of each month. Bills are then
printed and mailed so that they are received by the first
of the following month.
Billing
rates are based per 1,000 gallons used and are as follows
and are in effect as of February 12, 2007:

0-1000 gallons............... $8.37
Additional 100 gallons.... $ .49
Sewer
0-1,000 gallons.............. $11.90
Additional 100 gallons.... $ .69

- There is a minimum
billing each month for service provided even if there
is no water or sewer consumption.
- Cash, check,
and money order are accepted methods of payment. A direct
payment plan through your financial institution is also
available.
Swimming
Pools
To fill a swimming pool that holds several thousand gallons
of water, please call 440-286-2657 before filling the
pool By appointment only, we will install a temporary
meter and your account will not be charged for sewer usage
on this water. There is a $25 fee for each installation
and use of the pool meter. No sewer credit is given for
hot tubs or waterbeds.
METERS
FOR OUTSIDE USE
A second water meter for outside use only is permitted. There
is a minimum monthly water bill on this meter plus the cost
of any actual water usage. Contact the water and sewer billing
office at 440-286-2949 for information and fees.
