Please be aware of our new registration process: Registration fees for all summer Recreation Programs need to be taken to the Chardon Municipal Center, Attn: Recreation Department, 111 Water Street, Chardon, OH 44024, Monday thru Friday; 8:00am to 5:00pm. Mail in registrations may be sent to the address above. Payments may be made with check or cash. After the hours listed above, payments may be placed in the Water & Sewer drop off box at the back of the parking lot of the Chardon Municipal Center. Only General Admission payment will be accepted at the swimming pool.

Skate Park The Skate Park is located between the swimming pool and the sand volleyball courts, off Maple Avenue. The Chardon Community Action Team / H.A.N.D.S. donated the Skate Board Park to the City of Chardon. Use of the Skate Park is free. The park is open from 8am to 10pm. No bicycles are allowed inside this non-smoking facility. To keep the facility in respectable condition, skate boarders and roller bladers are asked to supervise their own behavior. Use of the Skate Park is at your own risk. Use of appropriate safety equipment is encouraged. The Police Department monitors this facility.
Chalet 220 Basquin Drive Chardon, Ohio 44024
The Chalet holds 50 people and is available for rent to CITY OF CHARDON RESIDENTS for a $25 fee and NON-RESIDENTS for a $45 fee (Fee covers 4 hours of use. $5 each additional hour. A $50 refundable deposit is also required. (Check and Cash are accepted) Please note, there are no kitchen facilities available.
The Chalet is open to the general public from 12 noon - 5 pm on weekends during the winter months and when school is not in session and is not available for private party rentals during that time.
For more information on reserving the Chalet, contact the office of the City Manager at 440-286-2600. The application, rental fee, and seperate security deposit must be received in order to reserve a date for a private party rental.

Mel Harder Park 12519 Chardon Windsor Rd.
Located on the east side of Chardon on South Hambden Street, Mel Harder Park is a twelve-acre park that was dedicated to former Cleveland Indians pitcher, Mel Harder. The park currently provides baseball fields, playground, gazebo, picnic tables, and grills.
The park, which is available for public use, is open during daylight hours from spring through fall.
Contact the City Manager's office at 286-2600 to reserve an area of the park or download the application form .
