Our meetings provide an open forum of discussion and learning for wood working hobbyists of all levels of skill.Eagle America 510 Center St, Chardon OH, sponsors us with the use of their facilities and equipment that we need for our demonstrations. Please join us.Tuesday, Oct. 20th, 2009; 7:30 pmIntarsia: Rod Franken will explain the hobby of making unique 3 dimensional scenes with wood. This is an ancient wood working skill in which you can be very creative. It uniqueness comes from your many wood choices, wood grains, contouring and the complexity level of your patterns.Wood Working Jigs: Many of our members have asked for a program covering jigs.If you have made or purchased a jig that makes a project easier or safer please bring it. We all love those nifty jigs. Next Meeting Dates:Nov. 17th: Cal Crego is into power carving and will demonstrate the craft. The second topic will cover sharpening and will have demonstrations of various methods of getting that perfect edge.Dec. 15th. Ernie Conover will present a program on one of his favorite items, hand planes. This is a must see program for all levels of wood workers.Jan. 19th Dick Schamberger will present a class on basic design. A second program will cover the technique of patination. Come and discover what patination is.Remember the 3rd Tuesday of the month is woodworking!We need more ideas for this year’s programs, as well as presenters. Nothing is too basic.
