In the past, Universal Disposal has been the company to pick up items for Trash Day. Now that Waste Management has taken over, the date had to change. Waste Management abides by a certain number of hours per man per truck. Summer is a very busy time and adding in a City-wide pick up is not feasible to stay within allowed hours per week. It is the intention going forward, Trash Day will be the last Saturday of September.
The City’s RESIDENTIAL curbside trash collection will be held on Saturday, September 30. Since this is a City program, we ask that friends or relatives from outside the City not be invited to bring trash for collection.
Waste Management will NOT enter private streets, apartment complexes or commercial lots.
To have items removed, residents MUST comply with the following regulations. Any non-compliant item will be left.
If any of the items listed are found to be on the curb, it will be left.
City Residents age 60 & over:
Limited assistance is available to place trash out for collection. Please contact the Geauga County Department on Aging at: 440-285-2222 ext. 5520.
